If you are lucky enough to have a copy of this year’s February SNAP you can put together the fashion puzzle featured this month with our Styl’n Pair of “Fashion Parts from All Over”. Matched up on a stroll downtown with our “brand-free” man Peter, we stopped Kelly (also) to get the low down on just how their street chic combinations came to be.

So, we have unearthed Peter’s grounded fashion secrets. Who are you wearing and where are they from?
“The jacket I am wearing is from Zara in Calgary, which is also where I found these great jeans.”

What are you wearing to compliment your striped wool jacket on a sunny and somewhat chilled day?
“I have on a sweater by Pendulum which is from Englewood (Calgary). It’s a great everyday sweater.”

You’ve slung on a terrific looking bag, is it from out of town as well?
“I love my bag, it’s originally from Brazil.”

I have to say piecing together their treasured fashions collection from all over the globe was a delightful and very friendly way to delve into the question that comes to everyone’s mind when wandering the city or sitting in a restaurant people watching – “Wow, look at her/his_______, I wonder where they got it?” My experience with Peter and Kelly also brought up my favorite way of remembering a trip - I pick up a great statement article of clothing or accessory and leave the tacky tourist figurines on the shelf. Wearing something from somewhere you have traveled is an investment in future encounters (conversation starters) and they are fond memories you can take with you everywhere. It’s always a good time to ask,… “Where has your closet taken you?”
